Beautiful hair starts with a happy scalp

My grandmother did not budge: the body is like nature. Without good soil, there will be no beautiful fruits or pretty flowers. In other words, to have beautiful hair, you have to pamper your scalp. I learned its lessons and, since my colleagues call me Rapunzel, something tells me that it works.

My grandmother did not budge: the body is like nature. Without good soil, there will be no beautiful fruits or pretty flowers. In other words, to have beautiful hair, you have to pamper your scalp. I learned its lessons and, since my colleagues call me Rapunzel, something tells me that it works.

Going back to my grandmother, she was the one who taught me to massage my scalp every night before going to bed one brushing session is enough, but with my long, wavy hair, it is a bit like the cross and the banner in short, whatever the gesture, the main thing is to activate blood circulation, and therefore the oxygenation of the hair follicle. The key is a solid and shiny mane !

Then, you have to find the rhythm of washing that suits you. Too often, the scalp dries out and itches or worse, the nasty dandruff lands (aggrr, the horror !). The best advice I've ever received is : listen to your scalp and remember that, like those of your skin, its needs change with the seasons, the vagaries of life, age, pollution, medication, stress and your lifestyle .

Also note that dandruff is not due to poor hygiene, but to a microbacteria that feeds on the sebum present on the surface of the skull, transforming it into fatty acids. These irritate the scalp which protests by accelerating its cell renewal, producing these famous dandruff.

Personally, I had the misfortune to see it appear two years ago, when I went to a specialist, her answer was very clear : you are not subject to it and you are stressed ? Do not look any further. Skin and hair are a reflection of our behavior !

But back to the shampoo: choosing one adapted to the requirements of your mane is essential, it is even better if it is free of silicones. Present in many products, this substance makes the hair shine, of course but it suffocates and disrupts the scalp. Always in the radius of the ingredients which it is better to be wary of, surfactants.

Some are very aggressive and strip the scalp. The right pickaxe: solid shampoo  552M from Odacité , guaranteed without sulphates or silicones. “A 100% natural formula with a rich and creamy foam, which uses coconut, Cupuaçu, argan and hemp butter, to nourish, detoxify and restore hair and scalp.

The result is a scalp that feels good and silky, hydrated hair,” summarizes Valérie Grandury, founder of the brand.

If you prefer more classic shapes, you'll love Shampoo Repair and Pure Harmony Hairbath , which gently rid your scalp of smothering dirt and other impurities. Those most likely will appreciate the gentleness of Shampoo Sensitive .

I admit that at first I was a little refractory to solid shampoos : I tested a few and it was always the same story : impossible to untangle knots and dull hair I started to believe that it was only made for short hair. I was really amazed by the 552M : I have the impression that after each use, the quality of my hair improves, it seems like acting from the inside.

Also know that a mane in great shape also depends on what you put on your plate.

To grow, hair needs protein and fatty acids. Eat varied and, especially if you follow a vegetarian or vegan diet, go for food supplements.

Last piece of advice, never go to bed with wet hair you wouldn't dream of slipping between your sheets in damp pajamas, would you?? Nothing beats dehydrating the scalp and turning your head into a veritable nest of bacteria. !
